About Me

Who am I?

I'm an instructional designer, and I've got this drive for crafting learning experiences that really stick.  At this point in my career, I've discovered that interactivity, making connections like storytelling, and using popular learning approaches can be powerful tools.

I was a successful educator with a background in ecology and environmental technology.  I draw on my skills to break down and translate complex ideas into meaningful chunks to reduce cognitive overload, maintain engagement, and increase knowledge retention.  I am skilled at successfully managing large projects and small teams of people. I lean into the power of community building and noticing other people’s strengths.

From needs analysis through the design process, I collaborate thoughtfully with stakeholders and Subject Matter Experts to deliver targeted solutions, addressing gaps to improve outcomes and behaviors.

Let's work together and redefine what's possible!

Instructional Design Credentials

Ready to grow into new challenges, I transitioned to corporate Instructional Design in 2023 and enrolled in the Applied Instructional Design Academy, a nine month applied ID program that allowed me to develop and hone my skills.

I earned the following badges as part of a 9-month Instructional Design Coaching / Mentorship program, Applied Instructional Design Academy (AIDA). The program includes training and extensive coaching from professional ID coaches and covers a rigorous set of activities that includes developing modules with evaluation of existing modules, design and development of new courses with extensive feedback, and multiple iterations.

Outside of Work

When I am not designing learning solutions, I enjoy metalsmithing, making earrings, and spending time with my family outdoors.
